The Birmingham News reports the Birmingham Barons are considering moving from Regions Park in Hoover to a new stadium proposed for downtown Birmingham. Officials from Hoover, a Birmingham suburb, say losing the Barons wouldn't affect their ability to maintain Regions Park in such a condition where it could continue to serve as home to the Southeastern Conference Tournament. Several cities received bid packages to gauge their prospects of hosting the event once the current deal with Hoover expires after the 2011 season.
Teams to watch
Kendall Rogers of Yahoo!Sports/Rivals.com lists 25 teams to watch for 2011. The list includes Clemson, Coastal Carolina and South Carolina.
Rogers also lists five keys for Clemson to work on during the offseason.

Francis Marion's Blue squad beat the Red in the first game of the club's intrasquad fall World Series.
