Hinson ranked No. 50
Clemson third baseman John Hinson is ranked No. 50 on College Baseball Daily's top 100 players countdown entering the 2011 season. Hinson was drafted in the 13th round by the Phillies, but opted to return to Clemson.

  • Tigers post CWS ring video
    Clemson's athletic site has posted video of the College World Series ring presentation ceremonies held prior to Tuesday night's basketball game against Michigan.

  • USC reveals schedule
    The University of South Carolina has announced its 2011 schedule. Included are 35 home games, 25 against 2010 NCAA Tournament teams and 30 SEC games. The Clemson-USC series again is a three-game weekend set at three sites: USC on Friday, March 4, Greenville's Fluor Field March 5 and at Clemson's Doug Kingsmore Stadium March 6. The Gamecocks play 11 other games against state teams, including a March 15 game date at Fluor Field against Furman. The Gamecocks open the season at home Feb. 18 against Santa Clara. An April 7 visit to Tennessee will be part of the SEC's Thursday night TV package on ESPNU.

  • Winthrop sets schedule
    Thirty-four home games are on Winthrop's 54-game schedule for 2011, its first under head coach Tom Riginos. Riginos previously was an assistant at Clemson.
