A public memorial service for former Clemson coach Bill Wilhelm, who died last week at age 81, is planned for 2 p.m. Jan. 8 at Jervey Gym on campus.
Metrodome games can canceled/postponed
College Baseball Daily reports that games scheduled for February and March in the Metrodome in Minneapolis will have to be moved elsewhere, postponed or canceled while repairs are made to the facility's roof. A heavy snowfall caused the roof to collapse earlier this month. Many schools from throughout the northern midwest play games there yearly, with games sometimes being played almost around the clock.
