Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I've had a cold and felt lousy the last couple of days.

Hultzen No. 14
Virginia's Danny Hultzen is No. 14 on College Baseball Daily's countdown of the top 100 players entering the 2011 season.

  • Carter dismissed; Harrison leaves
    Sophomore right-hander Ethan Carter was dismissed from the University of South Carolina baseball team for a violation of team rules. School officials did not elaborate. In a Facebook post, Carter said he was "sorry."

    Also, both The State and GamecockCentral.com report pitcher Greg Harrison is transferring from USC to Spartanburg Methodist in search of more playing time.
