USC set for four ESPN network appearances
South Carolina will be on the ESPN family of networks at least four times this baseball season. In addition to a previously announced April 7 game on ESPNU as part of the SEC's Thursday game of the week package, the Gamecocks will be on ESPN2 at home against Vanderbilt April 17, at Mississippi State April 22 on ESPNU and on ESPN May 1 for a home game against Auburn. ESPN also has a wild-card game planned for May 13. USC plays Arkansas that day. The SEC Tournament championship game will be on ESPN2 May 29.

    Kendall Rogers of Yahoo!Sports/Rivals.com pegs South Carolina for third place in the East Division in his Southeastern Conference preview. He lists Gamecocks first baseman Christian Walker, outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. and relief pitcher Matt Price on his pre-season all-SEC team.
