USC outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. is No. 5 on College Baseball Daily's countdown of the top 100 players entering the 2011 season. Bradley was named most outstanding player at the 2010 College World Series as he helped the Gamecocks win the national championship.
Sand Sharks' Main plays well
USC Beaufort's Tyler Main had two hits, two RBIs and two stolen bases, but his North team lost to the South, 11-6, in the Sun Conference All-Star Game Saturday in Daytona Beach.
Aranas honored
USC Aiken reports designated hitter Nic Aranas has been named a preseason NCAA Division II All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association. If I can track down a complete list, I will mention other state players listed.
