    Defending NCAA Division II national champion Mount Olive is the choice to win Conference Carolinas in a vote of league head coaches. Erskine is picked second, Limestone sixth and Coker seventh.

    Sixteen Limestone baseball players are among those selected to Conference Carolinas' Presidential Honor Roll. Fifteen Erskine players also are on the list.

    Francis Marion's Don Sandifer has been named to the NCAA Division II preseason all-American team by thbe American Baseball Coaches Association. I've still been unable to find a complete list, so I'm listing state players piecemeal as I find out about them.

    Anderson is picked to finish eighth and Newberry ninth in the South Atlantic Conference preseason coaches poll. Catawba is the coaches' choice to win the league. Newberry's Chris Love and Josh McElwee and Anderson's Erick Sanderson were second-team preseason all-conference choices.
