USC sets 33-man roster
The University has set its 33-man roster for the regular-season. Nine players on the preseason roster did not make the roster. They included Austin Ashmore, Brison Celek and Richard Royal, who played sparingly last season. Others were Alex Brooks, Al Hentz, Wil Leathers, Thomas Little, James Rawls and Brent Worsham. Teams normally are permitted 35 players on its regular-season roster, but USC lost one spot to an academic casualty and another to a player who was kicked off the team.
