In a poll of coaches, Clemson's Jack Leggett tied with Augie Garrido of Texas for second place, one vote behind Oregon's George Horton for best coach at a BCS conference school. USC's Ray Tanner is fourth. Coastal's Gary Gilmore was voted best coach at a non-BCS conference.
