USC's Thomas gets sixth season
Anderson native Brady Thomas has been granted an additional season of eligibility at the University of South Carolina. Thomas played two seasons at Florida State -- one shortened by injury -- then transferred to USC and sat out the 2008 season. He played sparingly in 2009, but was a key member of the Gamecocks' national championship team in 2010, hitting .331.

    Clemson's Jeff Schaus, Brad Miller and Richie Shaffer have been listed among the top players in their respective classes by Baseball America.
