Trapp suspended
Blair native Justin Trapp, a Kansas City Royals farmhand, has been suspended for 50 games by the Commissioner's office for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment program. Trapp was a two-sport star, including a Shrine Bowl quarterback, at Fairfield Central High School.

    Radio/Internet reports out of the Midlands indicate USC third baseman Adrian Morales may sit out Tuesday's game at The Citadel because of a wrist injury.

    Also, Clemson coach Jack Leggett tells S.C. SportsTalk he's not optimistic pitcher Kevin Brady will be available to return this season. Brady suffered an injury against South Carolina March 6.
