Palka homers
Former Greer High star Daniel Palka hit a home run at Turner Field Tuesday night, but his Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets lost to Georgia, 6-4, in front of more than 18,000 fans at the home of the Atlanta Braves. Palka, a freshman had three hits, including his eighth homer of the season.
Game times changed
USC Aiken's Friday home game against Erskine has been pushed back to a 7:30 p.m. start.
Presbyterian's Saturday game at The Citadel has been changed from a 2 p.m. start until a 4 p.m. start.
