Lancers pick up 3 region wins by forfeit
A Region 10 assistant coach tells me Louisburg has had to forfeit three region wins over USC Lancaster because a Louisburg assistant coach failed to serve a suspension after an ejection. USCL is now 4-8 in the region, while Louisburg is 3-11.

Leggett climbs victories list
Clemson's 12-3 win over Western Carolina was the 1,162nd of Tigers coach Jack Leggett's career. It moved him into sole possession of 16th place on the career list, one ahead of former Arkansas coach Norm DeBriyn and Bill Wilhelm, Leggett's predecessor at Clemson. Leggett coached at Maine and Western Carolina before coming to Clemson. All of Wilhelm's wins came at Clemson.

A rough night for USC
USC players and media have been tweeting that the power at the team hotel in Knoxville went out Wednesday night, followed by the fire alarm going off.

State players snubbed on mid-season squad
No players from state schools were named to Baseball America's mid-season all-American team.
