News Digest, Jan. 27

Sorry I didn't get some of these practice reports posted Saturday. I had family & work obligations.

All-American high school team named
Several state players or players with state connections have been named to Collegiate Baseball's Louisville Slugger preseason high school all-American team. State selections include pitcher Josh Reagan and catcher Nick Ciuffo of Lexington High School. Both are planning to attend South Carolina.

Hanna's Ben Boulware, a Clemson football and baseball recruit, and Clemson commit Chris Okey of Eustis, Fla., also were named at catcher.

Outfielder Austin Meadows, a Clemson commit from Grayson High in Loganville, Ga., also was selected.

Furman signee Skye Overton, an outfielder from John Creek High in Alpharetta, Ga., also was selected.

If I missed other commitments/signees for a state school, please let me know.
