PalmettoStateBaseball.com team of the week, March 31-April 6: Spartanburg Methodist

Coach Tim Wallace once again has his Spartanburg Methodist Pioneers
in the thick of the NJCAA Region 10 title chase.

Spartanburg Methodist (6-0 last week)
(Went 2-0 against Rockingham CC; went 4-0 against USC Sumter)

Spartanburg Methodist entered the week in third place in the NJCAA Region 10 standings and just percentage points ahead of fourth-place USC Sumter entering a four-game home series with the Fire Ants.

Coach Tim Wallace's Pioneers took care of business, sweeping USC Sumter to move into a first-place tie with USC Lancaster and jump over previous first-place Florence-Darlington Tech.

The Pioneers close their region schedule with road series at Louisburg and Guilford Technical two of the cellar-dwellers in the conference.  It they can win both series, they may be in line for another Region 10 regular-season title.
