Greiner honored
South Carolina catcher Grayson Greiner has been named Capitol One academic all-district 4 by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Sand Sharks honored
Outfielders Blake Cilwick, J.J. Crespo and Matt Kianka of USC Beaufort were named second-team all-Sun Conference in voting by league coaches. Also, the Sand Sharks' Jon Andrews, Erik Armstrong and Charlie McGinnis were named academic all-conference.

* Presbyterian has posted preview information on its weekend home series against Charleston Southern.

* Furman has issued preview information on its weekend home series against Georgia Southern.

* The Southeastern Conference has released probable pitching rotations for the seven weekend series.

Rain in the Sunshine State
Rain disrupted Thursday's schedule in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament in Jacksonville. Voorhees will play Tougaloo in an elimination game at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Voorhees coach Robert Platts said conference official hope to complete the tournament on Friday.
