South Carolina catcher Grayson Greiner has been named Capitol One academic all-district 4 by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Sand Sharks honored
Outfielders Blake Cilwick, J.J. Crespo and Matt Kianka of USC Beaufort were named second-team all-Sun Conference in voting by league coaches. Also, the Sand Sharks' Jon Andrews, Erik Armstrong and Charlie McGinnis were named academic all-conference.

Rain in the Sunshine State
Rain disrupted Thursday's schedule in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament in Jacksonville. Voorhees will play Tougaloo in an elimination game at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Voorhees coach Robert Platts said conference official hope to complete the tournament on Friday.
