USC's Harrington gets SEC honor
University of South Carolina junior outfielder Patrick Harrington has been named to SEC Baseball Community Service team. Harrington. The SEC says the team "looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community in superior service efforts." Harrington, thrust into regular duty for the first time in his career because of injuries, has participated in several community events and spoke at some elementary schools.

ESPN.com's latest projection of the NCAA Tournament Field has South Carolina as the No. 6 national seed, College of Charleston as the third seed in the Columbia regional and Clemson not making the tournament.
