Schedules adjusted
Apparently it's going to get cold this weekend, so cold that several colleges have adjusted their schedules. Here's what we know so far:
* Charleston Southern's home opener vs. Chicago State has been moved to 4 p.m. Friday.
* Limestone's Sunday home game vs. Le Moyne has been moved to part of a noon Saturday doubleheader.
* Newberry's series at Lincoln Memorial will now consist of a 2 p.m. Friday game and a noon Saturday doubleheader.
* South Carolina's Saturday home game against College of Charleston will start at 1 p.m. instead of 4 p.m.
* In a move not related to weather, Clemson's Saturday home game vs. West Virginia will start at 2:30 p.m. instead of 2 p.m. to accommodate fans wanting to attend the Tigers' men's home basketball game at noon.

Cougars' Ober won't start vs. USC
College of Charleston standout pitcher Bailey Ober won't get a start in the season-opening weekend series at South Carolina as he recovers from an undisclosed injury suffered in January, coach Monte Lee told The Post & Courier in Charleston. Lee did say Ober might pitch in relief.
