Flames picked to win Big South
Liberty is the pick of Big South Conference coaches to win the league championship this season. Coastal Carolina is picked to finish third, Winthrop sixth, Charleston Southern seventh (in a tie with Gardner-Webb) and Presbyterian 11th.

Baseball America preview has tidbits
I received the college baseball preview from Baseball America Thursday and picked up these tidbits.
* Outfielder Steven Duggar of Clemson is Baseball America's No. 7 prospect from the ACC in the 2015 Major League Draft. Left-handed pitcher Alex Erwin is No. 12.
* Clemson catcher Chris Okey is the ACC's No. 6 prospect for the 2016 draft and left-handed pitcher Alex Bostic is No.  9.
* South Carolina left-handed pitcher Wil Crowe is the SEC's No. 4 prospect for the 2016 draft.
* USC is ranked the the No. 7 college program since 1999, the first year of the 64-team NCAA Tournament field. Clemson is No. 11 and Coastal Carolina No. 46. Cal State Fullerton is No. 1.
* USC freshman pitcher/DH Alex Destino is the preseason choice for SEC freshman of the year.
* The newspaper projects USC will host a regional with North Carolina, College of Charleston and Mercer in the field. It projects Clemson to go to a regional hosted by Maryland.
