PalmettoStateBaseball.com team of the week, Feb. 9-15: Presbyterian

Presbyterian (4-0 for the week)
(Went 4-0 vs. Delaware State)

The paths were different -- two routs, two last at-bat wins -- but the outcomes were the same for Presbyterian: victories over Delaware State.

Coach Elton Pollock's Blue Hose had all-around good numbers; a .345 team batting average, a 2.12 team ERA and 36 strikeouts in 34 innings.

PC capped the weekend series with the most dramatic moment. Delaware State scored a run in the top of the first and pitchers made it stand up until the bottom of the ninth inning.

Weston Jackson led off with a double and went to third as T.J. Richardson bunted and reached on an error. Glen Casaceli singled to tie the score and former Riverside High player Jay Lizanich delivered the victory with an infield single on a chopper to second.

The Blue Hose face another hot team - 3-0 Wofford - on Wednesday in Clinton.
