Bulldogs greats help veterans
Members of The Citadel's 1990 College World Series team will play the Wounded Warriors amputee softball team in a six-inning exhibition game at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park in Charleston.

First pitch for The Citadel's Friday home game with Maryland Baltimore County has been pushed up to 3 p.m.

Spartans adjust schedule
With Thursday's rainout against Columbia, USC Upstate will now play a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. Friday and move the start of Saturday's game to 1 p.m.

Alumni news
Robert Platts, a Claflin grad and former head coach at Voorhees, is now an assistant coach at Lindenwood-Belleville, an NAIA school in Illinois. Platts' squad got a taste of NCAA Division I competition Wednesday, playing Illinois. Illinois won, 7-1.

SEC game on tonight
For those of you who may be burnt out on NCAA basketball by tonight, LSU and Arkansas play baseball at 7 p.m. tonight on the SEC Network (the real one, not the online version).
