PalmettoStateBaseball.com team of the week, March 23-29: Limestone

Limestone (3-0 for the week)
(went 3-0 vs. Barton)

It's been a rocky first season for Chris Wiley as Limestone's head coach.  The Saints won three of their first five, then lost 16 of their next 17, including 14 straight. Throw in six rainouts and Limestone recorded one win in more than a month.

Things have picked up recently. The Saints won the series finale against North Greenville, then got a walk-off single from Kyle Booth on Friday to beat Barton and get back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

But the Saints weren't done. They won the opener of Saturday's doubleheader against Barton to stretch their streak to three games.

It looked like the streak would end in the nightcap. Barton scored the game's first seven runs and still had an 8-6 lead heading to the bottom of the ninth.

That's when freshman Justin Tepper ripped a three-run pinch-hit home run to give the Saints a 10-8 victory and their fourth straight win.
