Winthrop honors 1995 NCAA team
Winthrop will recognize its 1995 NCAA tournament baseball team during the April 18 home game with UNC Asheville. It was Winthrop's first trip to the NCAA playoffs.

A couple of coaches in conferences with South Carolina schools as members recently reached coaching milestones.
* Carl Lancaster of Mount Olive recorded his 1,000th career victory as the Trojans of Conference Carolinas beat Catawba March 24.
* Doug Jones of Tusculum got his 600th career victory on Monday as his South Atlantic Conference team swept Lincoln Memorial.
