Cougars pursuing regional host options
Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com reports College of Charleston coach Monte Lee told him that the Cougars are pursuing the possibility of bidding to host a regional at a minor league park, presumably Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park in Charleston.

First baseman Johnny Cole, second baseman Josh Reinhart and shortstop Ashly Morris of USC Beaufort were named to The Sun Conference's Gold Glove team for defensive play.

USC Lancaster, USC Sumter fans take note
The next action for NJCAA Region 10 tournament winner USC Lancaster and regular-season champ USC Sumter will be in the four-team Eastern District Tournament later this month. The other two teams will be from Region 15 (the host school) and Region 20. Below is information on the Region 20 Tournament, which begins Friday in Keyser, W. Va.
Region 20

Monroe and ASA will meet in a best-of-three series for the Region 15 title and the right to host the district tournament. Those New York teams will play a doubleheader on Friday in New Rochelle, N.Y. A third game, if needed, would be played on Saturday in New Rochelle.

The district champion advances to the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.
