USC Lancaster, USC Sumter learn Eastern District Tournament Schedule

USC Lancaster will play Potomac State at 10 a.m.. Friday to open the NJCAA Eastern District Tournament in Uniondale, N.Y.

USC Sumter will meet host Monroe College at 1 p.m. in the other first-round game of the three-day, double-elimination event.

The losers of the two games will meet at 4 p.m. in an elimination game.

The district winner qualifies for the NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Colo., next month.

USC Sumter won the Region 10 championship, while USC Lancaster won the region tournament.

There are fewer teams in regions 15 (Monroe) and 20 (Potomac State), who Region 10 earns two spots in district play.
