Clemson, USC commitments drafted

Clemson commitment Cornelius Randolph, a shortstop from Griffin, Ga., was the No. 10 pick in the first round of Monday's opening day of the Major League Baseball draft. He was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Right-handed pitcher Nick Neidert, a South Carolina commitment from Peachtree Ridge, Ga., was the No. 60 pick, going to the Seattle Mariners in the second round.

The draft continues through Wednesday.
