Big South lands in Lexington
The Big South Conference announced Thursday that its baseball tournament will be played at Lexington County Baseball Stadium the next three seasons. Columbia TV station WIS reported on Wednesday that the league was going to use the facility.

Samford, Mercer favored in SoCon
Samford is the choice of Southern Conference coaches to win the league's baseball championship this season. Mercer came out on top in a vote of SoCon media.

Wofford pitcher Matthew Milburn was the coaches' preseason pick as league pitcher of the year.

Indians change date
USC Salkehatchie coach Bubba Dorman has announced that Sunday's scheduled home doubleheader against Catawba Valley has been postponed until 2 p.m. April 13.
