Planning your week, Feb. 8-14

NCAA Division I teams don't open their season until Feb. 19, but there's still plenty of college baseball action involving S.C. schools this week.

Some highlights
* Florence-Darlington Tech, which has had its first five games rained out, will try to get its season under way at the Capital City Bank Classic in Palatka, Fla.. The Stingers are scheduled to play four times, including a game against Chipola, the 18th-ranked team in the NJCAA preseason poll.
* Lander has a weekend home series with Flagler, which was No. 26 in last week's D2BaseballNews.com rankings.
* Newberry's Smith Road Complex is the site of six games over the weekend. The Wolves, Brevard, King and Young Harris all will play three games.
* North Greenville plays a three-game series against Mississippi College at Hoover (Ala.) Metropolitan Stadium, the site of the Southeastern Conference Tournament
