Tigers win twice by no-hitter
Benedict's offense had a big day but the pitching was an even bigger story, recording two seven-inning no-hitters in a doubleheader sweep of Morris on Tuesday in Sumter.

James Roman, Myles Snype and Murrell Martin combined for a no-hitter in a 19-0 victory in Game 1. The trio totaled 12 strikeouts and allowed one baserunner on a third-inning error. The Tigers had 23 hits, walked three times and stole eight bases. Armando Valentin was 5-for-5.

In Game 2, Robert Troiano III, Louis Garcia, Ryan Ramirez, Ricard Pagan and Yaniel Delgado combined for the no-hitter in a 14-0 win. Delgado pitched the final three innings after his predecessors each pitched an inning apiece. Benedict pitchers struck out 14 and walked none. Morris' two baserunners reached on Benedict errors.  The Tigers had 11 hits, walked eight times and stole 13 bases.
