Chants change Friday start
Coastal Carolina has pushed the start of Friday's series opener with Gardner-Webb to 2 p.m. because of weather issues. Also, former major league manager Tony LaRussa will throw out a ceremonial first pitch before Sunday's game.

* College of Charleston has sent out preview notes on its weekend series at Colonial Athletic Association rival Elon. Late Thursday it was announced that the series opener on Friday would begin at 5 p.m. instead of 6 p.m.

* Furman has posted preview notes for its SoCon road series against East Tennessee State.
