Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, March 21-27: South Carolina

South Carolina (3-0 for the week)
(Went 3-0 at Mississippi)

I really, really wanted to give this to USC Sumter this week. The Fire Ants improved their winning streak to 11 games and took over first place in NJCAA Region 10 by going 6-0.

But what South Carolina did was simply too much to overlook.

The Gamecocks got three dominant starting pitching performances in sweeping a top 10 Ole Miss team in Oxford. That pushed the Gamecocks' SEC record to 6-0 for the first time in school history.

USC (23-2) is on a 13-game winning streak.
