* College of Charleston has posted preview notes for its final CAA series against William & Mary at Patriots' Point. The Cougars are trying to clinch a spot in the league tournament they are hosting next week. Former coach Ralph Ciabattari will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Saturday's game

* Furman has shared preview notes for its SoCon home series against Wofford. The Paladins and Terriers are jockeying for a higher seed for the Southern Conference Tournament in Greenville next week.

* Presbyterian has announced a schedule change for its home series with Charleston Southern because of weather concerns. The scheduled Saturday game has been moved to part of a noon doubleheader on Thursday. If weather impacts either Thursday or Friday action, the teams may play on Saturday.

* The Citadel has submitted preview notes for its Southern Conference series at East Tennessee State.

* South Carolina has sent out preview information for its SEC series at Alabama. The Gamecocks are trying to finish in the top four of the standings so they can avoid the single-elimination play-in game of the Southeastern Conference Tournament next week in Hoover, Ala.

* USC Upstate has released notes previewing its Atlantic Sun Conference home series with Jacksonville.
Spartans
* Winthrop's Big South Conference series at Gardner-Webb has been compacted to a 2 p.m. Thursday doubleheader and a single game at 2 p.m. Friday because of weather issues. The Friday game is scheduled for ESPN3.
