Coker hires Harrigan
Coker has hired Luke Harrigan from Alderson-Broaddus University as its head baseball coach. He replaces Dave Schmotzer, who retired after this season. Harrigan had a 144-103 at the West Virginia school.

Gamecocks face Rebels
South Carolina has posted preview notes for its Wednesday game against Mississippi in the first round of the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Ala.  Regular No. 1 starter Clarke Schmidt (9-2, 2.72) is the scheduled pitcher. Mississippi will counter with David Parkinson (4-3, 2.70). Parkinson had a 5-2 record for Florence-Darlington Tech last season before transferring to Ole Miss. The Gamecocks swept the three-game regular-season series with the Rebels.

Tigers open with Virginia
Clemson plays Virginia Wednesday in its first game of the ACC Tournament in Durham. Charlie Barnes (5-4, 4.46) of the Tigers and Connor Jones (11-1, 2.05) of the Cavaliers are the scheduled starting pitchers. The teams did not meet in the regular-season.

Paladins meet Buccaneers
Furman plays East Tennessee State Wednesday morning in the Southern Conference Tournament in Greenville. SoCon pitcher of the year Will Gaddis (9-3, 3.79) is scheduled to start for Furman, while ETSU is expected to start Lee Haeberle (4-3, 7.05). The Buccaneers won two of three from the Paladins in the regular season.

Cougars meet Phoenix
College of Charleston plays Elon in its opening game of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament. in Mount Pleasant. Nathan Helvey (4-6, 3.49) of the Cougars and Michael Elephante (2-2, 4.86) of the Phoenix are the scheduled starters. The Cougars won two of three from Elon in the regular season.
