Beer wins Dick Howser Trophy
Clemson freshman outfielder Seth Beer has been named the 2016 winner of the Dick Howser Trophy, given annually to the best player in college baseball as determined by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. He will receive the award Saturday in Omaha, Neb., as part of the College World Series.

USC's Johnson heads for training camp
South Carolina sophomore relief pitcher Tyler Johnson has accepted an invitation to participate in training for the USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team.
