The Southeastern Conference on Friday announced Commissioner Greg Sankey had been given permission to negotiate with the city of Hoover, Ala., to keep the SEC Tournament there for 2017 and the future.
The city has plans for expanding and improving the area around Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
