News digest, Aug. 9

Two behind-the-scenes stalwarts move on
* Andy Demetra, the voice of USC baseball and men's basketball for the past several years, is moving to Atlanta to become the radio voice of Georgia Tech athletics. Demetra will add football to his duties with the Yellow Jackets. Bob Fulton, one of Demetra's predecessors at USC, also had a stint at Georgia Tech.

* Josh Manck, assistant athletic director for athletic communications at Newberry College, is leaving after 10 years to become director of athletic communications at Texas A&M-Commerce.  Manck did good work at Newberry and I'm sure that will continue in his new position.
