Bill Golding, one of the University of South Carolina's most recognizable baseball fans, has died according to Internet reports. There was some social media traffic Thursday saying he was in hospice. Posts reporting his death came today.

Golding roamed Founders Park and visiting team venues, usually wearing a 1960s-era batting helmet and all manner of Gamecock garb.  His wife, Glora, normally attended games with him.

His trademark was frequently blurting out "oot, oot" throughout the game.
