Four earn preseason A-A honors
Clemson infielder Seth Beer and South Carolina pitcher Tyler Johnson were first-team selections on the pre-season all-American team named by D1Baseball.com today.

USC's Clarke Schmidt and Coastal Carolina's Andrew Beckwith were second-team picks.

Glavine speaks Wednesday
Baseball Hall of Famer Tom Glavine will be the featured speaker for the Upstate Diamond Classic Wednesday night at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Greenville.  I'm not sure if tickets remain for sale, but you can check through at link at the story featured in the below link.

South Carolina coach Chad Holbrook has set the pitching rotation for the Gamecocks' season-opening series with UNC Greensboro beginning Feb. 17. Clarke Schmidt will start on Friday, with Wil Crowe goijng on Saturday and Adam Hill going on Sunday.
