Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, Jan. 28-Feb. 5: USC Lancaster

USC Lancaster (7-0 for the period)
(went 4-0 vs. Catawba Valley; went 3-0 vs. Southeastern CC)
USC Lancaster has started the season in formidable fashion. The Lancers have scored 74 runs in seven game, including 48 in a three-game sweep of Southeastern CC this weekend. Granted, USCL was playing Division II junior college teams, but there's usually more competitive balance between those divisions than between NCAA Divisions I and II.

The Lancers return to action next weekend against Brunswick, another Division II Region 10 team.

Also considered
Florence-Darlington Tech (4-1)
Francis Marion (3-0) -- beat three opponents in three days in the Carolinas Hospital System Classic.
Limestone (3-0)
North Greenville (2-1)
USC Aiken (3-0)
