* One of the best college baseball rivalries in the country resumes this week when Clemson and South Carolina play a three-game series. Games are at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Clemson, 1 p.m. Saturday at Fluor Field in Greenville and 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Columbia. Both schools were top 15 teams in the preseason.
Friday's game will stream on the ACC Network Extra and Sunday's game will stream on SEC+. There has not been an announcement about streaming for the Saturday game, but the Drive provided a feed last year.
Clemson plays host to Wofford and South Carolina entertains Appalachian State in Wednesday games serving as the final tune-ups.
* That Saturday game is part of the Greenville Drive's annual College Baseball Series at the scenic ballpark in downtown Greenville. In the annual First Pitch Invitational, Furman, Presbyterian, Michigan State and Tennessee Martin will be involved in doubleheaders at Fluor Field on Friday and Sunday, as well as a Saturday stint at Latham Stadium on the Furman campus.
* Coastal Carolina gave up six home runs in a 22-9 loss to West Virginia on Saturday. The teams have a Monday rematch.
* Winthrop pays a Tuesday visit to North Carolina.
* Midweek matchups of state teams include Anderson at Limestone, Furman at USC Upstate and Presbyterian at The Citadel on Tuesday and North Greenville and USC Upstate at Charleston Southern on Wednesday.
* Other intriguing midweek games include Coastal Carolina at UNC Wilmington, College of Charleston at Georgia Southern, and nationally ranked Lenoir-Rhyne at Limestone, all on Wednesday
* North Greenville's late-season series with Belmont Abbey determined the Conference Carolinas champion last season. They meet earlier this year, beginning on Friday.
* Coastal Carolina plays host to a weekend tournament for the third consecutive weekend, with Winthrop among the visiting teams.
* USC Upstate and Wofford swap opponents for a second straight weekend in a mutual scheduling arrangement. The weekend ends with the two Spartanburg schools playing late Sunday afternoon.
* The Citadel and College of Charleston play a three game series. A Saturday game at Joe Riley Park is sandwiched around Friday and Sunday games at Patriots Point.
* Erskine plays at Southern Wesleyan in the only other weekend meeting of S.C. teams.
