Buddie on DI committee
Mike Buddie, athletic director at Furman, has been appointed to a four-year term on the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee. His stint begins Sept. 1

Gamecocks to remember Williams
South Carolina will honor the memory of Brett Williams prior to Wednesday's game against Winthrop. Williams, a student at White Knoll High School who had committed to play baseball for the Gamecocks, died of an illness Jan. 17. His older brother, Wesley, plays for Winthrop and will be involved in a ceremonial first pitch prior to the 7 p.m. game at Founder's Park.

Pacers set the table
USC Aiken has issued notes for the week, which includes four home games in as many days. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday games are against Nova Southeastern, the top-ranked team in NCAA Division II.

Chanticleers change time
The starting time for Coastal Carolina's Sunday home game with Illinois has been moved to noon to help the Illini with their travel plans.
