Gamecocks to remember Williams
South Carolina will honor the memory of Brett Williams prior to Wednesday's game against Winthrop. Williams, a student at White Knoll High School who had committed to play baseball for the Gamecocks, died of an illness Jan. 17. His older brother, Wesley, plays for Winthrop and will be involved in a ceremonial first pitch prior to the 7 p.m. game at Founder's Park.
