Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, Feb.27-March 5: North Greenville

North Greenville (5-0 for the week)
(beat Mars Hill; beat NCAA DII No. 3 USC Aiken; went 3-0 vs. Belmont Abbey)

A 5-2 loss to Southern Wesleyan in its Conference Carolinas opener Feb. 24 has proven to be a perfect wake-up call for coach Landon Powell's North Greenville Crusaders. They crushed the Warriors in both ends of a doubleheader to complete the series, then went 5-0 this week.

That 5-0 mark included a win at No. 3 USC Aiken and a conference home sweep of Belmont Abbey over the weekend.

The Crusaders return to action with a 6 p.m. Tuesday game against Newberry at Lexington County Ballpark.
