Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, March 20-26: Winthrop

Winthrop (4-0 for the week)
(beat Wofford; went 3-0 vs. High Point)

On March 14 Winthrop suffered a 34-8 pasting at the hands ... or should that be bats? ... of The Citadel.  A night later the Eagles lost at Charleston Southern. Since then, the Eagles have won six of seven games.

After a midweek over Wofford, the Eagles swept a Big South Conference home series over High Point to stretch their winning streak to five games. They are in first place in the conference with a 5-1 mark.

The Eagles return to action with a Wednesday game at Clemson.
