First-round pairings are set for the NJCAA Region 10 baseball tournament beginning Saturday at Burlington Athletic Park.
Top-seeded USC Lancaster will meet USC Sumter at 11 a.m. to open the four-team, double-elimination event. No. 2 Florence-Darlington Tech faces Spartanburg Methodist at 2:30 p.m. The losers of the first two games will play an elimination game at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Region 10 dropped from eight teams to six teams in Division I this season. The top two teams in the standings (USCL, FD Tech) received byes, while the bottom four were paired in best-of-three series.
Spartanburg Methodist swept USC Salkehatchie on Saturday while USC Sumter and Louisburg were splitting two games. Sumter won Sunday's game, 15-5, to complete the tournament field.
The tournament winner qualifies for the Eastern Division playoffs later in May.
