Palmetto State Baseball team of the week, April 24-30: Voorhees

Voorhees (2-2 for the week)
(went 2-2 vs. Trinity Baptist)

Admittedly, this is for more than the results for the past week. Voorhees College went 2-2 in a four-game series with Trinity Baptist over the weekend to finish with a 20-20 record.

What's so great about that, you ask? Well, coach Justin Thomas reports it's been 15 years since Voorhees' baseball team finished a season with as many wins as loss. Before Thomas arrived there were some seasons of single-digit wins and one year when the school didn't field a team.

It's been a long process to get the program back to where it's competitive with the level of competition it plays. So, getting to .500 is a pretty nice accomplishment.
