Coastal Carolina (3-1 for the week)
(lost to College of Charleston; went 3-0 at Texas Arlington)
After a midweek loss to College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina faced a tough assignment with a Sun Belt Conference series at West Division leader Texas Arlington. The Mavericks entered the weekend with the best overall record in the league.
That was no longer the case after Sunday, when the Chanticleers completed a three-game sweep with a 5-0 shutout victory. Coastal remained percentage points behind first-place South Alabama in the East Division race entering the final weekend of the season.
Coastal returns to action Tuesday at Clemson. The Chanticleers close league play at home against Appalachian State.
