Benedict plays Tuskegee at 9 a.m. Thursday in the first game of the first round of the SIAC baseball tournament in Augusta, Ga. The tournament is being played at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
Benedict is the second seed from the East Division and Tuskegee finished third in the West. West Division winner Miles plays Claflin at noon.
In the other half of the bracket, Kentucky State meets Paine at 3 p.m. and Albany State plays LeMoyne-Owen at 6.
The double-elimination event continues through Sunday.
