* Midweek meetings of state rivals include Anderson at North Greenville and Wofford at Clemson on Tuesday, and The Citadel at Winthrop and USC Upstate at Charleston Southern on Wednesday.

* South Carolina makes the first of two 2018 appearances at BB&T Ballpark in uptown Charlotte with a Tuesday game against Appalachian State. The Gamecocks also play North Carolina there later in the season.

* Clemson opens ACC play this weekend with a home series against Georgia Tech.
