State schedule, March 9-11

Chilly weather has prompted some changes to the weekend schedule. Don't be surprised if there are more.

* The opener of Clemson's home series with Georgia Tech has been moved to 4 p.m.  Friday. There's a chance the Sunday game could be moved to part of a Saturday doubleheader.
* South Carolina's Sunday's home game with Princeton has been moved to part of a Saturday doubleheader.
* Winthrop's Sunday game at East Tennessee State has been moved to part of a Friday doubleheader. Saturday's game time may change.
* Presbyterian has adjusted its four-game home series to a pair of 1 p.m. doubleheaders Friday and Saturday.
* Southern Wesleyan has moved one game of its Saturday home doubleheader against to King to part of a 3 p.m. Friday doubleheader.

Elsewhere:
* The yearly First Pitch Invitational is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Fluor Field in Greenville.
* North Greenville and Erskine square off in a Conference Carolinas series in Due West. The teams rank 1-2 in NCAA Division II in this week's Palmetto State Baseball team rankings.
* NJCAA Region 10 teams begin league play. USC Union is in its first season as a competing member.
