Wrapping up the action for Saturday, March 10

Seth Beer homered in each game as Clemson steamrolled Georgia Tech in a doubleheader, 7-3 and 13-2, to complete a series sweep in the opening weekend of ACC play.

The Yellow Jackets outhit the Tigers in the opener, 12-10, but committed two errors to contribute to three unearned runs. In the rain-delayed nightcap, a seven-run first inning allowed the Tigers to hit cruise control. Chris Williams and Bryce Teodosio joined Beer in homering in the nightcap. Williams had five hits on the day.

Elsewhere 
* Seth Lancaster's ninth-inning home run lifted Coastal Carolina past Ohio State, 10-8, in the Chanticleer Classic in Conway. The Buckeyes scored three runs in the top of the inning to tie the score, but Lancaster provided the final bit of drama.

* South Carolina used home runs to secure a sweep of Princeton, 7-3 and 6-4. L. T. Tolbert homered in each game. T.J. Hopkins also connected in the opener and Carlos Cortes went deep in the nightcap. Gamecocks coach Mark Kingston auditioned projected closer Eddy Demurias for the Game 3 starter role with mixed results. Demurias allowed five hits and struck out four through five innings, but allowed back-to-back homers to open the sixth.

* Wofford swept a pair against Marist, winning the opener 18-4 behind seven RBIs from Colin Davis and taking Game 2, 7-5. Max McDougald homered twice for the Terriers in Game 1.

* College of Charleston clinched a series sweep of CSU Bakersfield with a 7-3 win. Riley Knudsen and Tommy Richter homered for the College. 

* Erskine and North Greenville split a Carolinas Conference doubleheader, giving the Crusaders a 2-1 series victory. The Flying Fleet won the opener, 9-6, as Chase Watts had three hits and Chaz Davey homered. North Greenville. Erskine took leads of 3-1 after the first inning, 8-5 after the second ining and 9-8 after the third inning of Game 2, but North Greenville scored the final eight runs. Josh Black and John Jones drove in four runs apiece for the Crusaders.

* Anderson completed a South Atlantic Conference series sweep of Coker with wins of 6-3 and 10-6 in a doubleheader at Anderson Memorial Stadium. William Thomas had three hits on the day.

* Benedict reached .500 for the first time this season, sweeping Lincoln, 22-2 and 5-3. Claflin doubled its victory total for the season, sweeping St. Augustine's 4-2 and 11-2.

* USC Salkehatchie and USC Sumter opened NJCAA Region 10 play with doubleheader sweeps of USC Lancaster and USC Union, respectively. Spartanburg Methodist and Louisburg split a league doubleheader. 

* Chase Allen homered three times and drove in seven runs, proving the margin of victory as Limestone beat Emmanuel, 14-7, to take the finale of a three-game series.

* Lander scored three runs in the ninth to tie the score and two more in the 10th to beat Nova Southeastern, 7-5, and the finale of that series. Mike Fitschen drove in two runs in the ninth and Bo Richey delivered two more runs in the 10th.

* Weston Rogers pitched a complete-game shutout as Florence-Darlington Tech beat Cuyahoga, 6-0, to earn a split of a nonregion doubleheader. The Stingers dropped the opener, 12-8.

* USC Beaufort finished its series sweep of Fisher, 9-8. It was the Sand Sharks' second one-run win in the series.
